Grit Equine Assisted Therapy is a non-profit (501c3) that provides equine-assisted psychotherapy, Telehealth therapy, and in person therapy for individuals, couples and families. Our mission is to make therapeutic intervention accessible to all.
Who We Are
Melissa Hatcher is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFT Associate) under the supervision of Dr. Rachel Falbo, LMFT-S, LPC-S. She holds a master’s degree from Texas Woman’s University and began her career in 2006, utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with neurodivergent populations. Since then, she has gained experience in various therapeutic roles, demonstrating expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), social services, and clinical research.
Melissa’s approach is rooted in Gottman Couples Method and Solution-Focused Therapy. She is certified in Somatic Healing, trauma-informed practices and adaptive yoga and breathing techniques, as well as Equine Assisted therapy, providing clients with a holistic and diverse range of therapeutic methods to support their mental health and well-being. Her life coaching certifications include: ADHD coaching and Neurodiversity coaching.
